Lentil Soup on Toast

- 1 cup Drip Yellow Lentils
- 1 carrot
- 1 onion
- Liquid oil
- 2 spoonful butter
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- Chicken broth (or regular water)
- Medium round bread
- Materials for the Upper Part
- Butter
- Mint
- Red pepper powder
First of all, lentils are washed and left to drain. Carrots and onions are cut into half-moon shapes. Add oil to the pot and start sautéing onions and carrots. After it changes color slightly, add the butter and melt it too. Flour is added and roasted. Then lentils are added. Add chicken broth, add salt and boil, stirring occasionally. When the consistency thickens, it is blended. For the topping, heat the butter, mint and red pepper and pour it. Now it’s time for our bread. We cut off the top of the bread and remove the inside. Only the shell part remains. We should be careful when buying the inside of the bread. If we leave the entire interior part flush with the crust, the soup may melt the bread and overflow. We lightly brush the lid and inside with butter and put it in the oven. It is allowed to fry for approximately fifteen minutes. Now our bread is ready.
