  • Quarter teaspoon of salt
  • Quarter teaspoon black pepper
  • Half a tea glass of clove water (You can boil 1 teaspoon of cloves and extract the juice.)
  • For Decoration
  • 25 gr. hazelnut
  • 25 gr. currants
  • 100 gr. walnut
  • 1 pomegranate

Fabrication

We boil chickpeas and beans separately. We wash the wheat and put it in the pot. We add boiling water to it and boil it for 10 minutes. We filter the resulting water. We repeat the filtering process by doing the same process once more. Then we add boiling water and boil the wheat for about 50 minutes. We add cooked chickpeas, beans, chopped apricots, raisins and washed rice to the softened wheat. We boil it for about fifteen minutes. Then we add hot milk, sugar, salt, black pepper, hazelnut and clove juice to the mixture and boil it for fifteen minutes. Approximately three liters of water are used while cooking Ashura. However, you can add a little more hot water depending on its density. The amount of sugar used is about four cups. Again, you can add sugar as per your wish…

When the boiling is over, we divide the mixture into glass bowls. Once the Ashura has cooled down in the bowls, you can decorate it with hazelnuts, walnuts, pistachios, currants, raisins and pomegranate seeds…
